We were likely enough to talk to the lovely Lara Tilley. Who gave us some amazing advice as well as tips and trick for creating our own killer make-up looks.
Confidence for me comes whenever I’m in my makeup room, it’s a place my creativity and passion can truly thrive. Weather I’m wearing makeup or doing somebody else’s makeup, I feel like the best version of myself and that’s when I feel most confident.
‘The comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing grows in it.’
Lara's how to, for the amazing eye look above :
Start with the darkest warm toned shade and apply it harshly into the crease, don’t worry about blending it out yet. Use a small brush and pack on as much colour as you can.
With another brush get a deep orange shade and use that to blend the darker shade outwards towards your brow bone, this should act as a nice transition. Use small circular motions until you’re satisfied.
To cut the crease get your favourite concealer and apply a small amount just above your lash line on the first half of your eyelid, if you do this and then look up your concealer should transfer up onto your eyeshadow (usually just above your crease) and this will give you a good indication on where to carve out your crease with concealer.
Use a small flat brush to create a nice sharp line, follow the natural shape of your crease, don’t go past the centre of your lid.
Once you have filled in half of your eyelid with concealer, use your finger to gently pat the concealer near the middle of your eyelid to blend it out.
Set the concealer with white eyeshadow or just use setting powder.
With the same shade you used in your crease apply it to the outer corner of your eye, use the orange shade to blend it out on both the outer corner of your eye and on your lid, use a very light hand to do this as you can always add more but you can’t take away.
The eyeliner is an optional step, for mine I used the nyx Cosmetics liquid ‘Glam Liner’ and Chi Chi Cosmetics ‘Feels so good being bad’ eye pencil in my waterline.
Use your best highlighter to put just under your brow bone and on your inner corner.
Apply lashes or just mascara and you’re done!
Thank you so much Lara. I can't wait to try is make-up look. You can keep up to date with Lara via her social media so you can see the amazing amazing thing we know are to come.
